BACKGROUND
Since the creation
of StageQuest, we identified very early on that there were
a significant amount of talented Scots who were unable to
afford arts based training. The creation of the StageQuest
Foundation will facilitate the unemployed, single parents,
people with learning difficulties, benefit claimants and
non able bodied people from all diverse cultural backgrounds
and age ranges in Scotland, to access financial assistance
for training in the “arts” provided
by numerous different training establishments.
DEVELOPMENT
The
role of the StageQuest Foundation is to raise funds for those
people who would not otherwise be able to access training,
support and knowledge from a variety of different arts training
establishments, thus helping to maintain a level playing field
and reaffirm the phrase “Arts for Everyone!”
THE LAUNCH
We are launching
the StageQuest Foundation on Saturday 29th March 2008
at a special fund-raising gala evening held at the Edinburgh
International Convention Centre. This event is expected to
be very well attended by Members of Scottish Parliament, celebrities,
representatives from the entertainment Industry, local & Industry
press together with various events coordinators and corporate
and booking agents.
